This is the outside of the Gulbenkian Building (pink on your map). To get to the main entrance, turn right and walk towards the underpass.
Go past the two beams and into the underpass.
Walk through these double doors an into the foyer of the Gulbenkian. The green door straight ahead takes you to the toilets. There’s a cafe where you can buy food and drinks on your left. On your right you’ll see the box office.
This box office is where you can buy and pick up tickets to all of the events at the festival, even ones that are not taking place at the Gulbenkian. Walk past the Box Office and towards the sign on the left that says ‘Cinema’.
The Front of House staff will let you know when you can go in, and before the films start there will be trailers for other movies you might like.
This is what the cinema will look like when you walk in, although the lights will be a little dimmer.
There lots of seats in the Gulbenkian Cinema, and you can choose which one you like. Although the lights will be low, there will not be a complete blackout.
When the film is over, the lights will turn on. Everyone will leave the cinema. It might be busy but you can wait in your seat until everyone has left if you want. If you need help before, during or after the film you can call an usher.
